Born in Iowa and raised in western Michigan, Dale W. Laackman is an award winning television producer, director, and writer turned historian and author.
Laackman’s education includes a B.A. in Advertising from Michigan State University and an M.A. in Television and Film from the University of Michigan. During a 20 year career in broadcasting he worked at various television stations in the Midwest before joining national producer and syndicator Tribune Entertainment Company in Chicago.
Mr. Laackman also earned a B.A. in History with a minor in Education from Northeastern Illinois University. He has since taught college courses in Broadcast Journalism as well as middle school World and American History.
The author lives in suburban Chicago with his wife and two sons. For the Kingdom and the Power: The Big Money Swindle That Spread Hate Across America is his first book.
